Here's my T-422 (1968) that has later reliable self-starting synchronous motor but still old enough tech to have its own bearing oilers - along with tonewheel assembly oil points. Has many useful presets as well as manual drawbar modes for upper & lower.

The T-422 has 'Popstick' Pedals which are monophonic - a shortcut you would not encounter on their professional models. Otherwise you get a genuine Tonewheel sound experience.

If you average all the Temps on the 'Thermometer gallery', you can arrive at the Truth Grin

The original 1950's red tin Camel was reproduced in the 1990s for Camel; Repro looked the same but the slogan (not seen in pic) was changed. I found it in an old shed and found that 1930s? round Deco Catalin plastic one in an old boiler room.

A good idea, now that it is accessible again (was blocked off by clutter for a long time), will take a few days.

^ T-422 came with inbuilt Leslie.

However, people do rob old T series of the Leslies so if you are ever in the market for one, check that it's complete.

" T-422 came with inbuilt Leslie."

And also an octal socket at back (for standard connection to an actual Leslie)

Here's sound clip of mine with internal 'Leslie' : I create a 'Shuffle' beat by pressing in Slow Rock+Rock n Roll together Grin

Interesting effect, and some interesting bric-à-brac, too.

I just noticed the Amoco thermometer. Been a while since we had Amoco here. They had the petrol filters built into the filling hose just before the nozzle back in the days before cars had fuel filters on board.

Drive lean, Amoco clean I think their ad said.

There's another item there that could disappear from the landscape in the next five years too - the humble public phone. Been a long time since I've seen one used and I haven't used one since about 1992.

That's a good point Brad, especially with the rising popularity of cellular/mobile phones. I remember last time I was in Sydney airport, waiting at a departure gate. There was a row of about six or seven pay-phone booths along the well, but there were only two phones left there. This will probably become a common sight as they disappear.

What a shame! I occasionally use pay-phones, which are especially handy when the battery in my phone is running low or dead...

Chris

Amoco's final filter clean.

Amoco was famous for its TV ads, for example:
