Is there anyone near me on this forum who could take a look and or repair the Tuner/amplifier unit of this unit ??
It looks to be fully transistorised.

I have dim bulbed the unit and am not getting any signs of life at all.

The electrical leads will need to be replaced as they have been knawed by mice in places.

I have also sourced a replacement Garrard 2025tc turntable

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve

Heard you were unwell, good the hear from you again!

I have your F3 chassis to return and it should be safe to pay our Albury friends a visit soon. I could look at it then.

Ian

Hi Ian

Yes I was crook there for a bit but now 100% again.

Now working from home for now.

That's great my F3 is ready to go
The F4 Chassis is working fine in there at the moment but I would rather put the F3 back in.

The modulator will need slight adjustment too as the sound is not as good as it was before.
I would also like to purchase another modulator for the TV Radiogram if I can Smile

I wasn't sure if you wanted to look at the Radio/Tuner as it is full transistor not valve.
This together with the TV Chassis was given a gentle wet wash back in the summer months.

Can you tell me the type of electrical leads I will need so I can buy new ones from Jaycar for the Tuner (x2, one long and one short) and the TV Chassis

Hope you are well and staying safe in this new Covid-19 world

Kind regards

Steve

Thanks Vintage Pete for taking a look at the tuner/amplifier on this unit.

Problem is possibly the contact wires on the control switches which are dirty and shredded.
With any luck that's all it is 🤞

Pete's also replacing the old and chewed power cords on this and the TV Chassis

Thanks so much Pete !!!!!
You and Ian Robertson are a wealth of knowledge !!!

The power switch is faulty and it's not safe to power up because the leads have crumbled on both the leads.. I think I can save the switch it's badly gummed up and I will replace both leads too. Then let's see if starts on the bulb.

Pete
