Hi, I recently got 2 Farmers Radio Service Bus Amplifier/Radios
I can seem to get hold of 6SK7 and 6SJ7s
But ECH 33 and EBF 35 seem to be a tad harder.
Any info on locating would be appreciated.
I am also after a knob or 2 as pictured (Pic coming) 28mm across.

Many Thanks
Josh

Knob

I just had a look through a box of valves given to me in case I had any of the E series but not a one.

Sorry, but I will keep an eye out for you.

If you're a member of the HRSA you can try the Valve Bank.

That's huge! You didn't happen to mean 28mm by any chance?

You can use a ECH35 in place of ECH33 if you are able to get one. I think some of the 6*8G may fit too, such as 6A8G, but I don't have my equivalents manual with me at this time.

That knob, or very similar, appears on eBay from time to time.

ECH 35 I believe will pin out to 6J8 These are Triode Hexodes. 6A8 & 6J8 will interchange but not perform the same as each other.

The other is a duo diode remote cutoff Pentode.

Thanks all,
I keep a close eye on Ebay.
I will certainly keep a lookout for some of the variants mentioned.
Robbbert, your right ! I know I would put cm instead of mm. (corrected)

Regards
Josh

Didnt realise it was hidden.
Its now un-hidden but my email is ozwasp.gmail.com
Interesting that the ECH33 is not common but the ECH35 is everywhere
The only thing I can see different is 100ma difference in heater current

The knob in question is made by Marquis (Commonweath Mouldings) of Arncliffe, NSW.

Marquis Plastics

Included in the catalogue is the very generic so called Aegis bakelite mantel cabinet that was part of a recent discussion here.

I did find something close in the UK.
I just replace all 4 on one of the units and it will do

6K8 will usually replace ECH33 and 35 as well as 6J8 and even 6A8.

I have some NOS Canadian 6K8s I will never use. How many do you need?

Else try tubedepot.com.

PA Man, as of this morning I have that knob for you which, thanks to that very useful catalogue provided my Monochrome, appears to be model MIK3. Check your email.

The knob in question is made by Marquis (Commonwealth Mouldings) of Arncliffe, NSW.

What a great catalogue. Brings back lots of memories. That bell press MBP3 was seemingly everywhere in old buildings when I was a kid, but for some reason I remember it mostly as being the "Press for service" button on the counter of Littles Dy Cleaners.

Love the cable codes for each item, too. Used for requesting quotations and placing orders via telex.
