Hi Pete
Can you get me a picture of it?
$100 is a reasonable price I think, if all the bits and pieces are there.

I have just unhidden my email address.

Hi Pete

Thanks for your email. I have asked the seller for some photos of the back.
It would be sort of a shame to butcher it for parts as it looks to be in good condition.
I just want to make sure before committing.
I will let you know

Hi Pete

Seller has not yet responded to my message requesting more pictures.
If you want to try them you can. I presume you are reasonably close to the seller?

I would like a picture of the back with and without the facia board so you can see the CRT

Regards

Stephen

Hello Stephen,
Many people go away at that time of the year, so just keep trying.
Its at Dural, I'm at Dee why so Dural is about 30 km from here.
Ian lives near me and I think your sending him a TV? To be repaired?
If you or Ian need the hmv ,let me know I might be able to help,
Depending where abouts it is in dural ,

Pete

Thanks Pete

I will just keep trying.

Thanks for the offer of help. I am in Albury which is most inconvenient when you need specialist repairs of this nature.

I have to take the CRT & chassis to Ian so he can test the CRT and assess the chassis.
He suggested I remove it from the cabinet, pack it in foam and bring it by car rather than risk damage by having it transported.

With work commitments and other things I just haven't been able to get up to Sydney.

Hopefully if the CRT is no good in mine the one in Dural is.

Regards

Stephen

Stephen, before you pull the CRT, test it with this:

https://vintage-radio.com.au/default.asp?f=6&th=201

If it's OK, you may not have to ship it or even remove it from the cabinet
I can make do with just the chassis and the yoke, I'll use the CRT in my 79-2.

Thanks Ian

I will give this a try.
I haven't yet pulled the CRT from the cabinet. I unbolted and removed the chassis to photograph it for you.

It would be perfect if it is still okay.......We shall see I suppose.

I am hoping to get up to you in the next couple of months.

Kind regards

Stephen

Stephen.
I use to sell furniture, old collectable from the 50s 60s mainly. So often I would need to ship it all over Australia for the buyer. Backloads the shipping company are pretty good,,They never lost an Item or damaged one in all those years I ran the business.
Where you live is on the Main shipping route.
They will ship your chassis to Ians door .
At a geuss , 100 to 150.
Backloads give them a call.
Pete

Actually if its just the chassis,
A courier would be much much cheaper
