My mistake, you need a 43 not a 42. Alas, I have t'other, but not the one.

That could have been interesting #43 which became 25A6 Octal, has a 25V heater #42 6.3V.

In my collection of unsorted & untested tubes there is a #43 condition unknown but I do have an operational Paton VCT & a Knight 600.

Patton VCT says my #43 is not shorted, but the emission, set per VCT's original paper work, indicates that its very low. Around 30%

Thanks STC, for looking and I do not believe there is an easy replacement, I found a 43 on Ebay and I will try the HRSA valve bank.

Hi Marc, I appreciate you testing yours and if I fail to find one soon I will come back to as even a low emission will help me get this radio singing again. The circuit so far is not exactly following the schematic that I was given for S\N in the range of mine.
