Firefox complained about the site certificate having expired and it was dangerous to come here.

I accepted the risk (lol).

Yes, I am getting the same thing from the computer at work.

I did ask for a two year certificate and I didn't get an e-mail asking for the current one to be renewed.

I will chase it up with the provider, and yes, the site is still safe.

Okay, a new certificate has been ordered.

The reason the renewal wasn't received is because my e-mail address that was previously associated with this site no longer works and won't until I can find the time to build a new mail server. Unfortunately, my time available to be a computer nerd is no-where near what it once was.

As mentioned before, please ignore the panic-merchant warnings in browsers, the site is still as safe as it has always been. The only difference is that the SSL certifcate requires renewal. Once the new certifcate has been uploaded, the warnings should disappear.

Sorry all but I am still waiting for the provider to respond to the submission of my CSR file which they use to generate the SSL certificate. If it is not in my inbox shortly I will put a rocket under them.

They probably sent to your non-working email.

Nah, that has been changed and confirmed as working due to other correspondence received from them.

As you know, this isn't rocket science. Sounds like you're dealing with a company that is vying to be a government department.

Most of these types of companies have reps called Vijay, Raj and Yohan and are not based here except for one tiny head office that does not include the helpdesk. So there is at least a 12 hour wait for every question that is asked.

The most recent rep I spoke to late last night is based in the US. He reckons he can get the application back on the rails but because this is a long weekend in the US due to Independence Day, I will be waiting until Tuesday, US time, to finalise things.

The bottom line is, I've now done everything I can do and now I just have to wait for globalisation to catch up.

All sorted.

I've purchased another one-year certificate as there are plans to migrate the site to a new server at some stage, probably closer to Christmas.

My apologies for the eyes being off the ball.
