Thanks! (Maybe put the renewal date in your calendar.)

Looks like that didn't happen - it's expired again.

Yep, expired today according to Kaspersky AV.

Don't these certificate providers email reminders?

I am away at the moment and unfortunately have limited access to e-mail. This is also why there has been a delay with uploading content. The good news is that I've renewed the certificate and should receive it shortly. Once it arrives I will log into the server remotely and apply it to the site.

A quick update:-

There was a delay at the certificate provider but that is now sorted and I wasn't given a reason why which is pretty much the usual scenario with any supplier or service provider these days. Customer service has gone out the window but that goes without saying.

I've submitted the CSR file and should have the certificate in the next 24 hours. Once it is in my e-mails, I will upload it and we should be back to normal.

Note that the scare tactics in all web browsers do not apply. The site is exactly the same as before, just with an expired SSL certificate. As this site doesn't have a payment gateway, no-one is in danger.

Another update:-

The certificate has arrived and been uploaded. We are good for another year.

We are good for another year.

I have put a note in my 2024 calendar on June 28: "Remind Brad that certificate is about to expire".
