The crisis is ongoing and all the actors such as Border Force and NSW state agencies would be hard pressed. She drew a line under the blame game so that action can continue. That is good leadership. It was indeed good leadership. The only issue that came from it was that Albo hopped on the bandwagon, hoping for a pound of flesh, which he didn't get. I've commented on The Australian with similar words. Albo was all in for the bipartisan approach but that lasted five minutes and now the politics, grumbling and whinging has returned.

I have been informed that we now have a case in Wangaratta. I have been lying low for over three weeks. Having not been to the doctor for 15 months the ramifications are, as I may have mentioned a pile of blood tests. I would think it the absolute height of negligence, for any blood sample, not to have been checked for the bug.

Ultimately its the head at the top who is responsible for keeping the heads below in line and wears the consequences of them stuffing up. Judging by the number of cases in NSW. The boat stuffup is causing that state to pay a high price for it.

It should be the realisation of all the members of parliament in a time like this; That they are a Parliament first, its a level playing field and not the time to unite not behave like the usual rabble. That sort of thing has no place in problem solving. It should be "what can we do to help".

Sorting out the stupidity and how we let ourselves get into this mess, and the repercussions comes later.

Remember the only way a fool got into the Parliament was by election: Choose better next time you vote.

I think any bank would be quite worried. However, the very last thing a bank needs is commercial property to dispose of in a fire sale, let alone hundreds of them. It is infinitely better to extend the credit for as long as it takes.

I have not heard what the banks are doing about residential mortgages.

I'd say that laws will eventually come in to protect mortagors who are on the dole, but who knows. That hasn't been done before, that I know of. During the last recession, tens of thousands of people were thrown to the wolves by the banks and houses sold. The supreme courts in each state were busier than the police courts with the number of reposessions being processed.

2/3 of NSW cases were travellers returning from cruises and plane journeys. I'd say there is a correlation to this statistic and the suburbs mentioned. Few people in Penrith, Liverpool or Mt Druitt would be going on such holidays.

Travelling and contact with travelers is probably the underlying reason. Other than if you already have significant health problems, age only really becomes an issue if you get infected. The older you are the harder it is to recover from it due to a weakened immune system, and the very young haven't yet developed a comprehensive immune system.
