It's probably pertinent to remember that a lot of those old fridges used ammonia gas as the refrigerant and it is highly explosive. It is a shame because it was a good refrigerant.
The Silent Knights are good beer fridges when the door seals are working. A few of them were put on farms and other areas where there was no electricity and were the absorption model, which runs on LP gas.

Fred ,,
Yes its a common thing you need to do with them is Kick the Started box ,, solenoid Gets stuck if they sit around too long .. Mine is a 1955 model and still going strong and is my only fridge .. The Rare ones are the 1950s 2 door fridges and even rarer are the completely round ones with rotation shelves.
Brad you can still get the seals for most of these fridges, Putting them on though is right pain sometimes

There's an old English LEC freezer in the Shearing Shed. Think it was made for Dalgety stock & station and for the outback? Despite a new thermostat it just loves to take every thing down to -20. Never seen anything like it. Its around 60" long and has around half of the back longways covered in radiator. Due to its age it has one of those old Gramophone type motors with a fan on it blowing air onto the compressor.
Can't say it is ineffective, or of poor quality.

Server troubles. If they don't fix it, I'll probably end up moving the site.

The site was back up about two hours after it was reported.
That said, there's no guarantee it won't happen again. I am yet to hear back from them regarding the escalation of the issue.
My preference is to go back to self-hosting eventually because a server cannot be rebooted by a customer in a commercial setting as other sites and customers share the same server. When I owned the server I could reboot remotely from my phone using Remote Desktop. I could still do it if TPG hadn't have stuffed my connection and then refused to admit something was wrong and fix it - the cause of about 9 months worth of 500 Errors.

Brad, the one this morning coincided with a lot of other local outages (OS was OK) including bom.gov.au.
