Does the CCP deny responsibility for the outage?

Tonight I received a message from the hosting company that there was a major disruption on the network their data centre is connected through. So much for redundant connections, etc - both probably go through the same physical infrastructure which isn't supposed to happen. To be honest I didn't even know this site was shifted from Perth to Sydney though I did notice that the timestamps for the server logs and forum postings have realigned to EST. I am not sure when this move was made though.

In the last few hours I have been experiencing very slow response and a few periods of outage with the dreaded 500 error.

Speaking of using old appliances earlier in this thread ,we still use our Sunbeam Radiant Heat Toaster purchased in the 70's and designed in the 40's.
Still going strong.
Needs a slight adjustment of the torsion spring occasionally but that's easily done.

The toaster with its own fan website! I have one too.

Unfortunately automaticbeyondbelief.org has been hacked as you'll see when you try to go there. Here is another site:

http://www.johnrogers.com.au/toastermatic/

When it was still available (and made in Campsie in Sydney), Choice would consistently make it their recommended buy, despite it being the most expensive. Only case where they ever did that I believe.

Site is fixed, or so I am told.

A lot of those old toasters never needed throwing out. You could get replacement elements for them. When I was an apprentice we had boxes of different elements for toasters, steam irons, 'electric fire' heaters and electric jugs. All Australian-made and all good quality.

There's a good chance that only heading to a new webhost will help. It was slow for me this morning but seems fine at the moment.

As mentioned above, I've experienced protracted periods of unreachable/timeouts. I always use a few website up/down checkers to make sure it isn't only me having the problem. Appears your ISP doesn't have sufficient bandwidth -- or maybe that design issue you have mentioned where the software gets bogged down flagging posts as read/unread or whatever?
