I need to show my vaccination for Coronavirus to my employer next week so that my jabs can be recorded on the vaccination register however, to my chagrin, MyGov has made a pig's ear of my vaccination record! They will be getting a phone call next week as the record shows I didn't appear for the second jab. Why is it that these bloody paper shufflers cannot get things right?

Out of curiosity, which vaccine did you receive?

If the Covid Circus has taught us anything; It should have brought us to the realisation that the bureaucracy from start to finish is a sheltered workshop for people totally incapable of making a correct or positive decision. Nor could they run a Hen fight; even when given the Chooks.

Not going near Astra. Friend sister (50) got that, a few days later we buried her.

99.9999999999% of those who have taken the Astra vaccine are still with us. The media has done a lot to put the fear of God into anyone wanting to be immune to the virus. I got the Pfizer vaccine and had back ache for two days after the second jab. All medications come with risks and this is forgotten when overshadowed by the media hype.

It is a shame that Australia's own CSL vaccine candidate didn't make it through, due to it causing false positives on HIV tests. It was the best of the lot as far as effectiveness goes and there were no other known side effects.

China has done a wonderful job with its new germ warfare regime. They hoodwinked the World Health Organisation but they don't fool the rest of us. It's time China started paying its $8tr reparation bill.

Good luck getting any part of that 8 trillion out of them.

I haven't got any jabs yet, but it's only because I am incredibly lazy, and always procrastinating. One of these days...

Oh, speaking of MyGov, what a shambles. I tried to connect it to Medicare and have had no success. First time it got stuck in some kind of loop, asking the same questions over and over, then the second time I tried it crashed. Can't go to centrelink because of the lockdown, so I'll just have to wait a while. If someone there can connect me up, then finally I can enter my bank account details, and then, maybe, I can get paid what they owe me.

It was so much simpler when you could take the doctor's receipt to the counter and get paid on the spot. But of course they had to mess it up, the morons.

I'm waiting for the dopes who allegedly govern this state and country to finally work out that COVID doesn't come onshore via the wind or wash up on beaches; it is brought in by people -- in planes.

Actually one forgot the boat fiasco in NSW.

Those here have demonstrated their outright arrogance from what I heard on ABC this morning by suggesting that Farmers biosecurity could gain from Covid.

Bearing in mind that Farmers & Rural Industry in Vic were never consulted & killed pretty much nobody, yet within around a 50Km or less radius of the Vic Republic it killed hundreds.

What I can see, wearing my Farmers hat, is that the Lord mayor of London in the Reign of Charles the first seems to have had a better & factual idea of how the Bubonic Plague was being spread & it was not Rats. They only played a small part. What is being done within the cities & republic is actually the way to spread it.

Here they have learnt nothing from the rural industries who deal with biosecurity daily, or any other plague.

With their daily pronouncements, they should be obliged to join Actors equity, or the Showmen's Guild of Australasia

I just wish more people my age could get access to pfizer.
I was lucky enough to get both my shots in May.
however at my school of 300 I'm still the only student who's received it.
first shot gave a sore shoulder with the second giving me aches and a headache for 12 hours but nothing unbearable.

I have run into more issues with chasing someone in government with more than a peanut shell for a brain.

About a week ago I lodged a complaint with Medicare on the MyGov site about the saga highlighted in the original post and it took them a week to reply with the below message:-

Now, why didn't I think of that????

A week before I started this thread I rang that number only to have a paper shuffler blame the NSW Government for "their failure to provide the necessary updated information" to the Commonwealth Government. I then rang the vaccination hub who stated that the information gets uploaded to the Commonwealth's database in real time.

Now for the big question: Why doesn't some dimwit at Medicare ring me, verify my identity and then deal with this shitfight of a problem?

There will come a time when we all have to carry a vaccination passport and if our state and national governments are mishandling the supporting information then it is a bit hard to carry a vaccination passport.

A joint letter to both Scott Morrison and Gladys Berejiklian is now probably in order. I like both of them but the grassroots of government is clearly not working for everyone because we are not able to talk to the people who are stuffing things up.

I have not had any issue with getting a printout from mygov saying that I have had both doses. Received both doses (AZ) at my local GP's surgery, the last two and a half weeks ago. The GP said it might two days to be available but was available that night.

The seems that the potency of the Delta version now means that I will not get any real benefit in freedom of movement from the vaccine.

My beef is with NSW Government Covid Safe Check-in. For a quite a while no problems; now it either won't check in all the time, or won't check out frequently if you do manage to check in. You then get a message saying please don't forget to checkout.

These problems occur in an area with good signal.

Not encouraging now that we are warned of big fines for not checking in.

I have long been of the opinion that anything run by a government here will be a screw-up, or scammed, or both.

I got an acquaintance who works for Services NSW to look at the ap. Apparently it wasn't set up properly and will be OK now. Time will tell as I don't understand why it worked then stopped working..

The app does have the odd glitch for me now and then but has mostly worked. My problem with it is that I do forget to log out and end up having to do this before logging in at the next place. I don't blame the Government for that though. It's a sign of old age I reckon. Fortunately, the app does permit the user to scroll back and place the correct logout time in. One other thing, I did notice by accident that logging in at a new location automatically logs out of the old - not bad if you are jumping from one shop to the next in quick succession.

I have written the letter below to the six politicians included in the salutation. I am a bit miffed that it has come to this though I have written such letters before with some good results - the more that know about a problem, the better the chance of getting someone to take some notice. This will be sent to the recipients via snail mail this week.

An open letter to:-

The Honourable Scott Morrison MP, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia
The Honourable Gladys Berejiklian MP, Premier of the State of New South Wales
The Honourable Greg Hunt MP, Federal Minister for Health
The Honourable Brad Hazzard MP, New South Wales Minister for Health
Senator the Honourable Linda Reynolds CSC, Federal Minister for Government Services
The Honourable Victor Dominello MP, New South Wales Minister for Customer Service

I received my second Pfizer vaccination at the Olympic Park vaccination hub at 17:00hrs on Wednesday, 9th June, 2021. To this date, this appointment has not been reflected in my immunisation record, located on the Medicare website.

After making calls to both Medicare (1800 653 809) and the Olympic Park vaccination hub (1800 571 155) I got nowhere because Medicare blamed the hub for not uploading the information and the hub blamed Medicare for not publishing the updated information that was sent.

I then wrote an e-mail to the Office of the NSW Health Minister asking for this matter to be looked in to. I can understand the Minister himself not replying, given that he will have a lot on his plate at the moment but to not even receive an acknowledgement from the staff in the Office that my enquiry has been received is a bit disappointing.

Following this, I wrote a complaint to Medicare about the matter and received the following reply:-

To be frank, I am sick and tired of being fed the “privacy” excuse as a way of placing a barrier between people and good government. Why didn’t someone from Medicare either write to me and ask me to contact them directly to resolve the issue or provide me with a direct contact instead of asking me to do what I have already done? If I was asked to call back to a direct number to someone with the authority to correct the mistake, I could have rung them, provided any necessary ID and then got the issue sorted out.

NOTE TO ALL LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT: Hotlines are useless if the people at the other end of the line do not have the capacity to do anything except transfer the call to another equally incapable person.

Now, there is talk of there being a vaccination passport to be carried by people being introduced down the track. I am perfectly fine with this but if my vaccination information remains incorrect, then such a passport is going to be pointless and will exclude me from everything from air travel to getting into the barber.

Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, I have tried to refrain from getting involved in the politicking of government management of the situation and I sincerely believe that overall, both the Commonwealth Government and New South Wales Government have done what could have been done at each stage to keep the community safe and keep the spread of the virus at bay. The issue I have, however, is quite serious, for the above reason and for many others. I would like to speak to someone who can correct my immunisation record as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, the only proof I have that I have received both vaccinations are two SMS messages from the vaccination hub. I doubt this would pass off as a vaccination passport.

Wish me luck!
