The work outlined below is now complete.

On Sunday, 20th December the site's host server will be taken offline for it's annual major service. It is likely that up to six hours will be required for the following to be carried out:-

Strip down and cleaning.
Replacement of motherboard batteries.
Windows updates and other software upgrades.
Installation of a new file backup system.
Replacement of the connection equipment (which despite being fairly new is not performing to expectations).
Replacement of the uninterruptible power supply with a higher capacity one.

During the downtime the site will not be reachable but it is anticipated that things will be back to normal by 15:00hrs on the Sunday afternoon.

Due to some careful planning and some preliminary work through last week I have managed to get the tasks above completed well inside the set deadline.

Merry Christmas to everyone and enjoy some new radios of the week over the holiday break, including this week's featured receiver, the Airzone 404.

You should repost this question in the Wanted and For Sale forum - just cut and paste from here. This forum is just for site announcements.
