Oops! I have now set my profile to e-mail form so please try again GTC.
As of yesterday I have acquired copies of Telephony III and IV that can be broken apart for scanning. It will take some time to get the job done but I will advise when they are ready.
In answer to your question GTC, sorry but I do not even know what a Tool 22 is/was. (In my defence I would say that I never worked for the PMG, Telecom or Telstra. My electronics work was in radio, radar, missile systems and computing.) Please explain what a Tool 22 was used for.

Sorry guys, there is something wrong with the form. One of you will need to provide the other with an address until I work out what is wrong.
I am shifting house for the next two days so it'll probably be Wednesday afternoon before I get a chance to sort it out.

Sounds good. I've had a lot of trouble with the mail server in the last week or two. I'm slowly but surely putting everything right again.

RA, thank you very much for all of the scanning work. Having done some myself I know what a hassle it is, especially when the original is a bound book. (For one scanning job where the original bound book -- a paperback -- was of no particular value, I had Kinko's guillotine the spine off it.)
I have sent you an email.
Tool 22 was designed for straightening relay contacts but, as it was also perfect for adjusting contact points in car engine distributors, it was almost always missing from tool kits.

Thanks GTC. I know what that tool looks like but did not know its ID number. I do have a set of the spring gauges used to set the tension on 3000 type relay springs.
A phone collecting friend of mine who is a former ex PMG/Telecom tech has complied a full list of all the tools used on SxS and Crossbar equipment. I could get a copy of that list if you or any other readers would like it.
