Steel needles could quickly shorten the life of even bakelite 78rpm disks

Steel needles are only meant to be used once, or twice in a pinch. They are actually blunt, and playing them sharpens them up. Thats when the damage will happen.

Well here we are eight months later and I just got the same one in the picture at auction today Smile
The fellow is terminally ill with cancer and selling up.... He even called it something like the clear it out before they cart me out sale.
It came with one single black cylinder already loaded, so I'll look at some youtube videos again and crank it up tonight.
