I'm intrigued to find out what this is too. Are there any serial numbers, model numbers or brand names on anything inside? Any brands on the valves?

I notice you have another set in the background. Are you a collector?

Chris

all the valves have been removed and the only number at all is a cabinet number 223/00772. Not much to go on I know.

This one had me thinking for a while but I've identified it.

It's a Bush-Simpson model TV52 or TV52A dating from around 1957.
It's an Australian version of an English Bush TV. This is the first time I've seen one that has survived so it is quite an unusual model. I've attached an advertisement for this model which you might find of interest.

I see you have a mid 1960's Kriesler in the background as well!

I'd be interested to know about the other TV's you have in your collection as I'm trying to build up a "knowledge base" of all the different TV models produced.
If you'd prefer to do this via email, my details are on my profile page.

Ah, is the set in the background a 1960s Kriesler V1? They don't seem to show up too often on Gumtree and EBay, though there is one or two on there currently.

Wow, I like that HMV Nipper 17 you have! I've only seen the Nipper 12 versions of this set around. If you were closer, I'd be bidding on them.

I have about 9 or 10 but am getting rid of a couple because of sheer lack of space.
The one remaining with me are
1. 1962 Ekco Console model
2.1964 Pye Chancellor
3 1965 AWA Console with closing doors to the front and remote control
4.1956 HMV EA1 again with closing doors to front
5.1964 (approx) PYE masterpiece
6. 1961 Admiral console
7.1969 General electric 12 inch portable
8. 1966 Healing Nevada
9 1957 Bush
and the 2 on ebay currently
Also a few early colour ones to amuse me
So as you can see not much room left in my house.

And then there are the radiograms...but thats another story

A nice little collection!

As to how many I have....lets just say that I have quite a few! Most are unloved colour TV's from the 1970's that no one else seems to want.

Could I too ask for some photos please - of the 1956 HMV EA1 please? I'm interested in seeing what it looks like! Is it for sale?

My email is unhidden.
