To transport any TV with a screen size over 23 inches will most likely cost over $100.
Also, it is most unlikely any valve era TV found at the tip is in working condition. Every valve set I've worked on so far has required some repairs.

Nathan, you've been offered the chance of having TV's that are much closer to you (e.g. Sydney) but you turn them down as being too expensive to get. Trying to ship a TV an extra 1000km will be much more difficult.

Well we're on a pension so anything over $200 is expensive so it kinda sucks, I really want more TVs but for some reason every time I see one up it's either in another State or to expensive ! Sad

Why don't you get a job Nathan? The Christmas holidays are coming up, which go for around six weeks. Surely you could get a casual "summer job" somewhere? Then you could save up enough money to buy some more vintage televisions.

Chris

In any case, I'd prefer the sets to go to Andrew first because he's documenting them. If it's one he doesn't want, fine, but that's up to him.

True, I've seen so many woodgrain sets at the tip it is not even funny anymore, I want more of the older woodgrains though the tip guys were pretty pissed about me taking them, I have no way of getting them out without being noticed >.< If only I had a tip where the guys were nice enough to let you take electronics >.> I need my fair share of Woodgrains haha

Why don't you get a job Nathan?

I'll be interested to see the answer to this question, too.
