Hi all,

Did anyone have 1) a physical copy of the Thorn Atlas Schedule A's manual or 2) a pdf of it?

There isn't one on Kevin's site, unfortunately. I have the schematic, but not the whole manual, which I figure has some more in depth info about the set.

Thanks!

Oli

I think I may have the documents you require.

Leave it with me over the weekend and I’ll scan it into a pdf file.

UPDATE:
I can only find a schematic for Schedule A. The complete Thorn-Atlas service manual, 1956 to 1963 starts at Schedule B and no pages are missing.

I suspect the Schedule A is a very early chassis version for the first model 6206T when telly first started here. The later 6206T models had the Schedule B and C chassis.

Hi MonochromeTV,

I actually believe I have the Schedule E.
Would you happen to have that?

Oli

Edit: Also, the model number printed on the cabinet is "6306", not 6206T! But I'm sure the difference is negligible.

Yes, you are correct.

The 6306 has the Schedule E chassis and yes I do have the full service documents (18 pages)

I shall scan them shortly and forward the pdf to Kevin Chant.

More information:

Thorn-Atlas models 6306, 6308, 6318 & 6368 used the Schedule D chassis.

Schedule E chassis was for models 6408 & 6468, but was also used in later 6306, 6308, 6318 & 6368 models.

Thanks again.
So my set could use either a Schedule D or E chassis?
But it uses a 6AJ8 in the sync, so must be an E.

I can't see the schematic on Kev's website, I assume it'd be under "AWA / Thorn"?
