G'day everyone,

I'm after a cheapie valve or solid state TV (in my taste, preferably valve) for a exhibition for the man that operated vintage analogue photobooths in Melbourne for 50 years.

He was the silent generation type who kept everything that past through his fingers and came up with unique and clever repairs, and to really show this I thought it would be neat to show footage of the booths and repairing them on a vintage set.
The visual condition of the set can be pretty poor, it doesn't matter if it's missing knobs or has Verneer peeling etc, it all fits the part.
The only thing that matters is that all of the electronics are there and that the CRT has enough life in it to last a month of operation.
I've got until August so I can make repairs and get it working before then.

Hopefully someone in the Melbourne area has something that would suit the project well and has a price that suits.

Thanks guys

I have a Thorn T series 17" portable, branded "Baird" (ex Radio Rentals) that you could have.

It's from 1974. All solid state, so it will run the distance reliably. A fairly tidy TV, too, considering it was rescued from a roadside throwout.

A very "Melbourne" TV being a Thorn.

Email me if interested.

Will you need a modulator or do you have one?
