Hi there,
I'm very new here and have been able to pick up a Kriesler multi sonic TV theatre unit that has a TV in the left side of it, a power tune clock, record player on the top right and under that a radio. with a large speaker that runs along the bottom if the unit..... its super heavy and was used in a studio as a prompt for a TV show. It has been electronically tagged in 2021 or 2022 and works I was told ( I haven't plugged it in yet), it has the hand held speaker and a type of remote and even the books. But I cant find a year of any information online. Can anyone help? I don't know how to add a photo of it on here but, happy to do that too if someone can tell me how.
thanks
Donna

If a remote control is present then it is one up-market set from Kriesler, which had a habit of making radios for the upper end of the market.

Send your photos to me and I will add them to your post. Just click on my username for the e-mail address. 3-in-1's were popular in the 1960s. Do any of the manuals have a copyright date on them? If one does, it may provide a better estimate as to a date of manufacture.

Hi Donna, welcome to the Vintage Radio Forum.

From the description your TV may be a 1963 to 1965 model 121-79 or 121-79A.

There should be a label showing the model and/or chassis type on the back cover.

Welcome to steam TV.

Going on your description and Monochrome's numbers it might be this one:

Donna, if you would like to bring it back to life I can help you.
Lots of fun to watch old movies and TV shows on a vintage TV in good working order.
This is usually possible, particularly if the CRT is OK. Even if it's not, I may have a replacement.
Those Krieslers were a high-end, quality product and well worth restoring.
Just because it is electrically tagged doesn't mean it works, just that it's safe to plug it in!

It's generally wise to power it for the first time using a dim bulb tester. Google it! Saves causing unnecessary damage if something is wrong.

To connect, say, a DVD player or a digital set-top box, you will need a modulator. I can help with that too.

My email is unhidden.

Trying that Stereo Theatre Clock-Matic link again:

QUOTE:

Year 1964

Dimensions: 45 x 31.5 x 18.75 inch / 1143 x 800 x 476 mm

This is a 59 cm [23 in] B&W television set (13 Australian VHF channel) combined with an AM BC radio and stereo record player. The television and radiogram are electrically independent. This model incorporates a time switch and a wired remote control with a motorized tuner (TV only). The record changer is a 4 speed Garrard "Autoslim".

Both the posted links don't work for me.

Doesn't work for me either. Perhaps I didn't try the link at the time I posted it. But if the search "radiomuseum 121-79A" is done my and GTCs links are what comes up.

Maybe RM has done some fiddling to prevent embedding URLs?

I got there by deleting the model numbers from the link, then navigating from there.
