I was exploring an abandoned building near my house. And found these two televisions inside. I am really curious what they actually are. As google brings 0 results. Was hoping someone in here may have a better idea. Thanks!

I recall a company named Inglis Electric back in the 1950s or 1960s.

what part of Brissy, did you find them in, are they up for grabs, I imagine, the place will be pulled down and high rise apartments will take away another part of Brisbane skyline and history...

The other telly looks like a early 60's Kriesler. Not sure of the exact model though.

I won't mention the exact suburb as I don't want to leak the location. I doubt they're up for grabs unless you find an owner. And it definitely won't be demolished. Not anytime soon at least.

UPDATE:

The Kriesler TV is a 1964 model T86 (79-11B) or T86A (79-14).

Yes I can fully understand your reluctance to put any details up, and finding an owner, would be a major undertaking.

Hope you are correct about the demolished part, the amount of homes and artifacts that are getting torn down around Brissy is a tad alarming.

The one on the right appears to have the veneer flaking off on its left side.

Forty five years ago or more the Dannevirke peanut farmer and his cronies were responsible for the wholesale destruction of hundreds of historic buildings in Brisbane. Seems like history is repeating itself with another round of mass destruction of the buildings that were spared in the 70’s.

Lost a lot of Iconic buildings and landmarks, back in the mid 70's to early eighties.
where I work in Albion, just to the north of the city, we have had the apartment towers take over the area.

There was a school, that was no longer used,that went, so the whole side of the street across from us is now high rise apartments.

The block we are on, had around 20 houses levelled, there is a high rise apartment on the other street of the block and now a large vacant block with sheet pilings and lots of large pilings, next to us, the company went into receivership, so the block is up for sale.

On the other side of the Breakfast Creek Hotel another block away from us, there is another high rise set to be built taking out more 1920's and earlier, houses, and that is right next to the heritage listed pub, the whole area is starting to look just like parts of Sydney or Melbourne, same developers or box designers, I guess.

Oh and across the creek, a multi level building for Mercedes building, complete with a massive 10 mete or so bonnet emblem on top of the building and the massive Bunnings next to it....

Yeah there's so much history getting torn down it's a wonder if Brisbane even cares about their heritage. Even when they do renovate an old building they usually just leave one brick as a remembrance. Quite sad indeed.

I am pretty sure there is this one elderly couple who own 4 houses in the neighbourhood. And I think they just use them as storage. However it has the look as though people have lived in some of the houses so I'm not entirely sure that's accurate.

I went to a different one the other day. And all the power is still working and there is a radio on in the kitchen. I am 99% sure nobody actually lived in there but can never be too sure. People live in some weird places. It was definitely a hoarders house with newspapers stacked to the ceiling and tight corridors between all the stuff. Also was about 30 televisions throughout the house and a very large record player and some other radios. As for what was under everything I have no idea. Very cool explore though nonetheless.

Yep, houses without charm and character have become the norm everywhere,All the original fittings and furnishings are now replaced with Chinese copies and the homes feel more like a hotel room than a home.
It ends up with a cold soulless feeling. Another thing I notice when I go in homes is the colours are all the same as the other houses. When I was a boy I had this great poster of a row of houses that all looked the same apart from one that was painted pink! Out side the house there was a police paddy wagon taking the owner of the pink house off to gaol!
