Am also a fan of this design. Ian is right to perceive some Pye in its 'pedigree' Wink
They have a great circuit description also: Of note for me is the 'interlace diode' following the V sync integrator (usually only found in UK 405 line TVs!) As well as the 'totem pole' noise gate, bootstrapped audio Amp from 47 ohm speaker drive, separate intercarrier sound detector, and I couldn't see where the Hor O/P was getting its B+ from, then see it's from the 35v regulator (contrary to modern unregulated source practice?) via the Damper diode. One wonders if the regulator had overcurrent limiting added, it wouldn't need that Hor. protection resistor?
