Does anybody know what has happened to Steve Savell's radiorevivalparts website? It is no longer accessable. Cheers, Dave

      Thanks for the info, Ron.
So, are we to take it that Steve has now shut down his business?

In this world I find there are happy people and others. Given the option, I prefer to deal with the former.
If I want to hear about the world's woes I can walk into any bar, anywhere.

Steve here --yes for now I've closed down Radio Revival website - most of my stock has gone to 5 / 6 people Australia wide - since early June 2014 to be distributed to those whom have needs. Ron Sherry the dials & Badges / Resurrection Radio the back boards and other stock / Mark Bortolussi has also backboards and other stock .

I'm still in Supply with certain things , yet the downturn overall in everything radio , makes the supply of many goods .unviable ! (ones gets tired of un - appreciation - along with losing his shirt )
( nobody can keep 100k of dials and 30 other lines on a set of shelves , hoping for a 1 day buyer ! business does not work as that !) That's just a recipe, for a one way ticket to poverty.

Why there is a downturn , makes no real sense , as we have more collectors now, than at any other time since 1982. If they want the goods - they have to support the ship - if not, the whole box and dice comes unstuck!

Its no good watching the supplier go bust - they crying later ''why has he left us'' ???? if the baker can't sell his bread , he no longer makes bread - obvious outcome - yes!

I catered to Radio needs full time since 1990 but in the last 5 years a lot of the collectors from the ''old school '' have gone and died on us !....... Pretty inconsiderate of them !

And of course the ''Everything for nothing disease '' in collecting with the ''new age collectors'' , has spread faster than Ebola'' so it's hard to deal with - especially when we sold ''gold products'' ---- for lead prices''

 I will still be here for things such as;

Speaker cloth ( which we have in stock now )
 Certain Dials
 Special Products
 History books
 Promotional goods for Radio

Along with maybe 5 or 6 other small lines !

Still have some beehive back glasses if you want some - actually we ll have around 80 dials all up ! 7/8 different types / felt washers and cloth and oh yes about 13 different lines still, but we are not advertising much !
For the majority of dials you will find that Ron Sherry has the lions share of various types , plus he has a lot of our badges !

I doubt we will be producing much more in the way of dials -- lot of money involved many $1000's so unless their is a conga line of buyers at the letter box, as soon as they are made to acquire them !!! well )) I mean I am not going down that road again ------ dials we make must go out daily like bread and milk ----otherwise why should one risk all financials to do it ?

We can make virtually any dial but the cost factors involved means we make 50 to 100 of each - so there must be enough people to warrant production and cover the costs !

The Peter Pan snail series dials we made 3 types fabulous quality - but the misery and nose scratching of the potential customers !! .... well could you not write a book on misery ! unreal ...really was !

I just saw that anti Semitic post and I agree it's highly offensive. It doesn't belong on this site.

Guys, to get things back on the square, I have deleted the comment in dispute but please do not inflame such situations by replying in the manner so put - that is just as bad. As such the comment in reply is also deleted because it quotes deleted text and included a personal attack.
The best way to deal with comments one does not agree with is to either e-mail me or simply ignore it. To assist, on the to-do list is a report button for posts with questionable content. Some other forums do have this feature and it works when used correctly.

      Brad,
By deleting the comment in dispute, it makes it look like it was me who made the anti Semitic post, which it was most certainly not. Could you please clarify this and for for the record, state who originally made the anti Semitic comment?

 TIA,
 Ron.
