Hi everyone,

I've been haunting around this site for a while now as I have been considering purchasing an old valve radio.

I've always had an interest in radios starting with Crystal Radios as a child, progressing through CB and getting my Amateur Radio licence about six years ago.

I started experimenting with Nixie Tubes about two years, from there I have since been looking for antique radio to put in my dining room. I'm sick of the TV being on while we are having breakfast.

I have recently managed to find my first valve radio. It's a AWA Radiola 190. It was restored a while ago, but I would like to give it a bit more love.

I hope to also continue with the hobby by restoring another radio which used to be my father's. It's a Ferris 94 Portable Car Radio. I also have a spare 94 to rob bits from.

Looking forward to being an active member.

Regards,

Jamie
