Hi all,

just joined on the 3rd of october and looking forward to learn as much as I can about this fascination which is called the valve radio.

i began with a relatively inexpensive hi fi system at the age of 14 or so.
listening to fine music has stayed with me forever and over the years I have spent tens of thousands of dollars upgrading and improving on hi fi systems to reach one step further than the last.
i realise, perfection in this case is infinite......

a couple of years ago and nearly fourty years on from my first system, I have come into the world of valves.....and thats where I am now.
today, I use top level audio research units to deliver the sound which I want.
but....................somewhere in amongst this "sickness", I have always had a fascination, respect and a curiousity with the simple old valve radio.
always too busy to get involved in the past, I am now getting more and more curious and have already purchased half a dozen of these bakelites which I listen to more of, these days.

anyway, thats me in a nutshell.
looking forward to learning more.

cheers
met
