Hi everyone I'm new to this site and thought id introduce myself I'm Toby and am 29, ive been repairing electronics for about 5yrs now basic stuff as a hobby and since last year I started repairing TVs as a tech at a TV repair shop doing a lot of plasma and lcd stuff. I dont know much about the old electronics but would like to start learning.
I collect old TVs mainly but do have a huge stamp collection and a few old antiques that I enjoy as well also a little fossicking every now and again to get away from technology haha Smile looking forward to learn and meet other people with similar intrests

Welcome from a fellow newbie!

Good to see someone of your age with an interest in old things. I'm 42 so I never really experienced the valve era except for playing around with old junked sets when I was a kid.

G'day Mr1940,

I've shifted your post to a new thread as it contains a fresh subject matter.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...
