Hi all,
New to the forum, have always had an interest in electronics, have had a couple of radios for a long time but didn't really do anything with them. Was mostly focused on vintage computing until recently. Picked up a AWS 461 at an "antique" shop and got the radio bug! Since then (about 2 months ago!) have restored five or six radios and have a number of them in line to work on. Very enjoyable and satisfying hobby. The ones I have restored I use daily (including a Philips 122 as my garage radio) in conjunction with a small AM transmitter (range of around 1 Meter). Glad I found this forum.

thanks
Darrin

Welcome to the forum.

I also use a small AM transmitter although the range is enough to cover the whole house at good strength.

It's very convenient to just turn on an old radio and listen to my favourite music close by, instead of having to turn up the main amplifier to full volume.
