Hello to all the members on this great forum. My name is Mick I'm from country NSW. I have been tinkering with and collecting valve radios since I was 11 years old. My father gave me an awa radiola champion 527ma that he found in an old dairy shed on a farm we had, and since then I haven't been able to get enough of them. I still have the first set he gave me which is quite special to me now as I have had it for over 20 years and my father is no longer with us. I enjoy finding radios and bringing them back to working order, I collect them for my own amusement and not to sell on for profit I'm sure my kids will end up with them all eventually anyhow.

There seems to be a run of new members here in recent months. Good to see. I couldn't help noticing that myself. I just checked the logs now and 23 have signed up already in 2016.
