Every since I was a kid going over to my grandfathers house in Brunswick and looking through the old sheds, that seemed to be stacked with bits of gramophones and consols, 78s etc I have always been interested in Radiograms, the lights and turntables.Ive collected them and moved them with me over the years.I have never actually repaired any,but have spent a fortune getting some of the radios rebuilt.(When you dont know anythin the moneys worth it! )I brought a roll top Precedent, working, on ebay for a $100.00. a few months back, and on checking it, it had been rebuilt,Great, gave it a dust off and worked on the Garrard Turntable RC120 H ,which made me have a number of sleepless nights, and wanting to bust into tears,!Now its humming along,Perfect, (Touch wood) ,Just last week another one on ebay, going for $45.00,it sounds as it needs to be rebuilt,And I feel confident ,(with the help of the restored one),To have a dabble.....And thats why ive joined, to get information, perhaps ask some dumb questions,And most likely spend a lot of sleepless nights Trying to work things out....Thanks
