Hi I am new to Vintage Radio and have just purchased an STC radio! still waiting for it to arrive in the mail. It apparently turns on but doest not receive stations. but makes a buzzing noise. cant wait for it to arrive. I'm looking to share in the wisdom and experience of forum members, and ultimately have a bit of fun fixing radios and enjoying music.

Craig

G'day Craig,

Welcome to the forums.

The buzzing is often, though not always, a sign of dried out condensers and these should be replaced before the radio is powered up. At times other components need to be looked at too and the power cord is also an item that usually requires attention.

We'll help where we can. Smile

Welcome Craig
When it arrives, let us know the model number so we can find a circuit and tech info. If you cannot find a number, a photo to the administrator, Brad, will help.
Harold
