Hi Folks, Marty here...

Just joined up as i've recently aquired a handful of Valve radios for me to tinker with etc.

About me:
I'm 47 (2014) and i've been a TV Broadcast technician for a large local TV Station for 25+ years, then moved across into commercial Audio for the past 2 years where I still am today.

I have interests in TV, Radio, Audio both in Solid State & Valve technologies.

Sadly when I did my Electronics training in 1984/85, they had just dropped "Valves" off the program, so it's always been a weak spot for me when dealing with valve-based gear.
I've obviously picked a lot up in my industries, although mainly focussed on valve (guitar) amps etc.

My overall valve theory/understanding (radio-wise) is somewhat lacking, but I plan to fix that with a few books etc.

Looking forward to sharing info and obviously learning a lot too from Guru's that have clearly been working on old radios forever Smile

bye for now,
Marty.

Welcome to the forum Marty. With your background it sounds like you've already got a good head start on a lot of us.
