Welcome.

So, what vintage radios do you have at the moment?

Hi, I have inherited 2 old radios from my father, both about 50-60 years old and an enthused about having them restored to working condition. They are a black HMV Little Nipper and a yellow Ekco. I live in Parramatta 2150, is there any one local that I could have these returned to working condition - they both turn on but no sound. Thanks. David

You could try either of these:

MB Electronics
277 Victoria Rd
Marrickville
9568-3248

Antique Reproduction & Restoration
14 Claxton Cct,
Rouse Hill
9836 2997

(BTW: It's not a good idea to power up old radios that have not been used for a long time as there's a chance that you can destroy components that are in the "unobtainium" category. Restorers check them over carefully first and deal with any obvious problems before applying the power slowly while watching closely for other problems.)
