GTC I have those if you are in trouble.

I would expect the number to be stenciled in red or green.

519M has it's top left (it's not that one) and with Bandmaster (AWA built) it was often RH on top in the corner.

Some of the AWA & Bandmaster's had a 100 Ohm 1/2 watt resistor in the plate circuits of the 6X5. These make good fuses.

If possible test the valves for shorts. I normally do that before switching on & in most cases don't bother switching on as it is not worth the risk and rarely will they work.

speaker & it's transformer can be rough checked by striking a battery across pins 3&4 of the 6V6

Do not bother attempting to fire it up again until all of the paper caps & electrolytics have been replaced and that includes the ones on cathodes where fitted.

500m has one on the 6V6 and I note an 800V rating on the 0.02 on the plate bypass 1-2KV ceramic will do (that cap is one of the most stressed & likely to fail)

It is likely that both grid resistors on the 6V6 will be out of spec. I find they have a high attrition rate, for some reason.

Do check resistors as you go. saves work & grief later. Replaced 9 in the 519M (including the grid stopper & grid leak on the 6V6)

450VDC Axial filters should be OK, as thats A heater rectifier Just by 630VDC Axials to replace papers (metallisedsed polyester)

Marc

Okay, the R92 (also known as the Egg Crate because of the speaker grille, is on page 90 of AORSM Vol. 4 (1940).

The circuit diagram shows a four valve model with the valves listed in this thread. I will scan ASAP and upload. It may take a day or two though as my scanner only works on Windows XP.

Update: In the meantiime a circuit diagram can be grabbed from http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/amalgamate_radiola_92.html.

Thanks, but I was trying to supply a schematic to Johnshack.

Okay, the R92 <...> is on page 90 of AORSM Vol. 4 (1940).

Hmmm, it seems my AORSM schematics are incomplete for AWA, hence my inability to locate model R92.

In the meantiime a circuit diagram can be grabbed from [Radiomuseum.org]

Ahhh, I didn't read the fine print. Everyone wants money these days... dont they.

I don't recommend paying for it either, since their copy looks like it is the same as the one in the AORSM manual. When I am back in town on Sunday I will sort something out.

Hi Brad.
Can you please give me some idea when you can supply me with a Schematic for my Fisk Radiola.
Johno.

G'day Johno,

I'll bring the AORSM manual to work tomorrow and scan it there. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to get my own equipment going.

Fisk Radiola R92.
