Pete
I have had the chassis out of mine to photograph it for Ian.
It was fine because the cabinet is heavy itself
I am just trying to think of the best way to photograph the bottom where the castors are because they are hidden otherwise.

The rear of a CRT is very delicate, the necks break easy,
So you need to protect it, If you even need to remove it ,don't carry it by the neck.
Just put some padding or lots of blankets on the floor and lay it face down to take the pics.
I transport them face down sometimes, but I use lots and lots of padding, on your set take care of the knobs!
They break easy and mostly it's the centers that break .
Those knobs are rocking horse shit!
Very hard to get , I have a spare set ive kept for years for that reason.

There should be no need to remove the CRT with that set. Unless you need to clean the inside of the safety glass, that is.

Don't intend to Ian if I can avoid it.
It's clean like new behind the safety glass.
Thanks Pete for those tips on safely laying it down.
The unbroken knobs are safely in a box.
I haven't put them back on since I took the chassis out to photograph.
Given their rarity I am not going to muck around to much with them.
I will put them back on when the set is ready to power up again.

Pete
Just emailed you some photographs of the castors from my HMV.
There was only three on there so I am missing one.
I suspect it went missing when it was transported to me.
I am hoping you have one exactly the same that you might be willing to part with.
Regards
Steve

Welcome to the forum.
I’m nearby in Wodonga and was a Radio tech in my early years. Can probably help you out on any vintage radios. My expertise on TV’s is extremely weak but that doesn’t mean to say I can’t figure it out with a cat diagram.
