I have free for anyone who would like it, a Philips Rear Projection TV. model 43PP8420
It was a topic on this forum a while ago and apart from needing the silicone over the tubes replaced, it works fine. I have the remote.
Twin tuner, picture in picture, and freeze frame.

I bought a HMV TV today and I have no more room.

The Philips must go. If there are no takers, the set will become "flat pack" and go into the two-cubic-metre skip at my front door. It will be available untill next Friday, when the executioner's axe falls.

Wayne.

Yes Pete.
You are right. The 3 in 1 is an odd one.

It appears that a furniture maker wanted to have a TV in a cabinet
That matched the other furniture that it produced, and had
Some set maker supply a chassis and tube to go lnside.
The cabinet of the 3 in1 matches that of a display cabinet in the same room.
The brand name on the set is Chancellor and to me, looks to be loosly based on an Astor chassis

I have some pictures of the chassis if you are interested. 1968 is the date on one of the transformers.

Wayne.

Hi Wayne,
Yes its a bit of a Ducking, If you know what I meam ,but I'm would like to know what chassis they put in it,so if you get a chance I would like to see a photo of it,, ,,, good luck with the HMV. I have a 50s HMV with the knobs though the front of the glass and mask but it needs a lot of work.

Pete

The Executioner's axe has fallen. (No. I did not hit it with a guitar) I've kept the tubes, all the rest has been binned. There was a film of kitchen grease on the lenses over the tubes.

Regards

Wayne.
