I know it’s a long shot but would anyone have an old Healing chassis as below.
My console radiogram has a perfect cabinet but someone in their wisdom has converted the chassis to a superhet and mutilated the chassis in the process. I don’t mind paying for the chassis.
I think it was a Healing model 41. Schematic below.

You did an impressive job on the cabinet.
Should still be possible to resurrect the chassis, particularly if you can get some pictures of the original. It would take a complete strip-down, but hey, that's part of the fun.
Anyone got a 41 that they could submit chassis shots of?
I have a set of original period balloon valves that could go towards the project. And some early paper caps ready to have their insides replaced.
Be prepared, the original circuit may not work as well as what you have now. There will be no volume control of the gram input for example, there is no AGC and the anode bend detector will sound primitive. I think I can understand what the last "restorer" was thinking even if I don't agree with his methods. To my mind, if you really must "upgrade" an early design (because you actually want to listen to it), hide your changes cleverly. A coil can could hide a diode detector, AGC and a way of switching in the gram input.that would be undetectable visually. Just use period-correct wire, valves and reproduction components where you can see them.
I used to be a member of the Riley club. Quite a few RMB owners would hide a brake booster under the driver's seat and a fuel pump inside the fuel tank for example to make their cars driveable in hot weather and heavy traffic. After a while, the concourse nazis would discover them and they'd be busted.

Thanks for comments Ian.
I believe the radio should look and work like it did when it was new, however bad it sounded. I cannot really see why the original owner would turn this into a valve superhet. Surly he could have left to top intact and placed a transistor radio under the chassis. At least the top would look original.
There was a similar coffin version on ebay awhile ago. I should have bought it!
