Thank you " TC" , I will look for it on ebay ,,, your in the ACT , I like it there , Sometimes I Drive too the ACT just to go to the Garage sales I like the ACT very much , but I hate the cold. Recently I have had an oppotunity to move to that area and I'm giving it some thought ,, pete

COLD IN CANBERRA! No thats just a myth the locals made up to keep the riff raff out lol. Besides with all those politicians there is too much hot air about lol.

Yeah, not too many places in the world with not one but two Parliaments in the one jurisdiction...

Regarding the cold down there, one night about twenty years ago now, I was down there at the casino with a mate and we were gambling into the wee hours. When we got out it was about 03:30 and I didn't think it felt all that cold even though it was the middle of winter. Thinking no more of it we got in the car and went tarryhooting off into the night. Then as we merged from the Federal Highway onto the Hume Highway I noticed the car's heater hadn't started working and it was getting a mighty bit cold by that time. We'd get to Goulburn before the heater started working.

The next day I was listening to the news and found out that the night before was a record low for Canberra: -12°C.

It would have most likely been the casino's air conditioning and the skin full of bourbon that stopped us feeling the cold.
