Thanks for the advice re the radio part of the radiogram that was the subject of my first post; that problem is now well in hand, and I've moved on to the record deck.
I tried running it, and noticed a regular knocking so I investigated and found.a depression in the rubber rim of the turntable drive wheel (from being pressed against the stationary drive pinion for probably more than ten years I assume).

So I am looking to buy a replacement for the wheel with a rubber tyre that fits between the speed change drive pinion and the inside of the turntable of the "GARRARD AUTOSLIM 4 Speed Record Player & Changer" that is part of the Radiogram that was the subject of my previous post.

The wheel has :- a diameter of 2 1/4"over the rubber tyre. (Which is 1/8" thick).
a Centre Bearing with a 3/16" Bore.
& an overall height of approx. 3/8"
three small, equal spaced holes in the disc between rim and centre boss.

Please; Does anybody know where I can purchase a replacement wheel.

petdimad..

If the rubber tyre still has any flexibility in it and has no splits, this trick I remembered from years ago usually works:

Fit a suitable screw and nut into the bore. Tighten.
Put the screw in the chuck of a drill.
Hold a fine file against the outer edge of the tyre while you rotate it.

The idea is to skim about 0.5mm off the tyre. Don't worry about the reduced diameter, it will not affect the speed.

Make sure you lube the motor bearings and clean any oil off the drive spindle.
