Hi,
I just got myself a Kriesler 11-20, apart from the grill the rest of the Bakelite is in good nick as is the dial glass.
It does work but the sound is low, valves check out ok so reckon a coupling cap is gone.
Just wondering if anyone has a scrap one in the collection as I am after a couple of grill rungs (one was still inside it) and possibly knobs, don't have to be perfect.

Consider yourself lucky. You have one of the 2 in about eight Krieslers that have not cooked the OP transformer.

If it has old electrolytics and wax paper caps replace them and check the resistors as you go, replacing any duds found. My tolerance is 10%. Watch out for & fix bad wire.

After sorting that out we move to the next step.

Thanks Marc
Thats good to know, all the caps are on the list for change as some of the wax caps look pretty bad.
It's a little ways off complete rebuild as I am re-doing the amp in the Philips rack but was going
to start polishing the Bakelite Smile
