Hi Guys,
I think it unlikely, but just in case, there is a fellow on my amateur radio group giving away
a valve AWA BTM-2M 2kW AM Broadcast Transmitter for free.
It was turned off only to replace with a solid state unit.

It has to be picked up from Biloela Central Queensland, and could disappear as I’m writing this.

Cheers, Brek.

It'd be a nice addition to my small collection of unusual things but I don't have a Hiab or moving van handy. Sad

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...

Hi Brad,
I’m renting and already not working with a bad back, but it would be a hell of a shame to waste.
I would most certainly give it a home if it were possible no matter how crazy it is!
It’s good of the fellow to offer it complete to get rid of it.

I'd love to get hold of that, but of course it's too far away and also have no suitable transport.

I was offered a lift there today with suitable transport (by a retiree),
but still the problem of bad backs and rented home is too much! Killing me! Grin

Hi Brek,

So did he manage to give it away Brek?

I might be interested.

If you could let me know that would be appreciated.
