I am looking for the large tuning knob used on the R701 and 611 AWA Radiola wood case radios.
If you have one to spare I would like to purchase it. Please give details of condition and pricing.

 Thanks

      Hi Clive
If you can borrow one from someone, see my post re the STC tuning wheel. In this case you might colour the epoxy to match. Suitable pigments are available from the same source.

Can anyone help Clive with a loaner? I can assure you the mould making process I used does not mark or damage the original knob in any way.

Hi Clive,Do you have a link to an image of exactly what it’s supposed to look like?
I have trouble trying to Google images of either of those model radios.
 Cheers, Brek.

My guess it is the tuning knob on the right side of this and similar models:-

It is a big thumbwheel with a profile similar to a jogging shuttle knob on a VCR.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...

I believe I might have one. I am restoring the radio but you would be welcome to borrow it or I just maybe able to find one for you. I will ask my tech on Wednesday or Thursday.

      Many thanks gentlemen.
I do have one here that I could get copied, but I would rather have an original if possible.

No worries Karl, there is a lot of work still to be done on it and several others, so if and when one turns up will be good.
 Thanks.

Hi Clive I managed to ask my buddy here if he has a spare tuning knob. He said yes its ok so what I will do is take mine off and send it to you. My set is a battery set of which he has the 240 volt chassis version which he is going to give me. So I wont be short of a knob. Just email me your address and I will try to send next week. CHEERS CARL.

I havent had a good look at the valve shield caps yet. Is your radio ac or battery as I might just take a photo of the chassis and send it to you.
