Hi,
Recently came back to this site. A few years ago I put in a notice about two old transistor radios that were given to me.
For one reason or another I never got back to the site to see if anyone was interested in them.
Both have been in the top cupboard for those extra five years and are still for sale and are both still unused in original packaging.
I have now learned to post on Ebay but thought I would give this another try first.
I can be contacted on email craig_grantinternode.on.net or directly by phone (number provided when requested by email).
I don't know what to ask for these radios but would consider all fair offers. To avoid me typing it all out again, what follows below is a straight copy and paste of my post from 2010.
I would like these now collectable items to get a good home but want a fair price for them.
The small Coca Cola souvenir radio has since been listed on Ebay but I guess most of the members of this forum would be much more interested in the others. Happy to send pictures to anyone who emails me but I will probably go down the Ebay route if no one pops up.
Well OK here is the description from 2010:
Cheers
Craig
I have two National Panasonic transistor radios dating I suppose to the 1960s. Both are new, unused and in original packaging complete with instruction slips and accessories such as earpieces.
One is a Panasonic 8 R-807 (has MW and shortwave bands) in leather case still has plastic covering on dial and controls etc. It is in original box which is unmarked which is in turn covered by a slip cover, which has a couple of small tears. The radio is of course in mint condition.
It is unknown if it works as it has never been tried. Would suppose it does.
The other radio is a smaller pocket National Panasonic pocket radio R-118 model. All the above comments apply to this one as well( ie brand new in original box still wrapped in protective plastic). This one does not have slip cover over box which is still largely unmarked.
Was going to attempt to sell them on eBay but not sure what to ask. Can someone help me or maybe if interested make me an offer? While not very interesting radios, I believe they have value in the fact that they are still unused after 50 years. Would have added a picture or two if I knew how but pics available on request.
A very unusual addition for someone's collection I reckon.
I also have a Coca Cola promotional FM scanning radio which is in original packaging with headphones. This is one o the ones that were shaped like a jukebox and also double as a little torch.
I'm sure someone out there can help me.
Thanks

Your email is hidden how much do you want for them. You can also contact me tonight via my facebook group The Real Bakelite and Antique Radio Page. You would need to request membership but thats free. Cheers Carl

Craig, even though you have given you email address in you initial post, you can also "unhide" it in your profile via Control Panel in the top menu.
Doing so makes it easy to respond to you.

OK I think I have that sorted out now.
I hope a few members may be interested in these old trannies..Even if they don't want them ...I would like an idea of what to ask when I list them on Ebay. We are moving house and I have a cupboard full of this stuff that needs to go. No more radios though. An interesting top line Remington electric shaver from the same period all boxed up and unused is a similar item.
Cheers
C
