Just wondering if any of you might have some 78s that you might like to pass on or sell. I only have four of them and would love to have a larger collection.

I was actually given a drum of about half a metre high full (that keeps the crap out). No idea what's on them or their condition, but you damn near need a forklift to shift them.

Can't speak for other states/branches, but 78s appear pretty regularly at the auctions of the Sydney HRSA meetings.

Garage sales and junk shops.
I have 2 milk crates full that are hard to lift, they are too heavy for posting unless you only have a few.
You wouldnt want the ones I have , mostly Indian music. I dont really want them either.

Look around, they are still out there.

Hey Redxm next time I'm in Tamworth I might pop in if you have any to spare. I grew up in Tamworth and my mum and brother mark are still up there.

Carl there is I recall a shop in Castlemaine in viccy has about 20,000 x 78's and some rare ones but I don't know he was pricey - may have had a bit of the 4x 2 about him I think - good records in good order ---- but he wanted his pound of flesh for them.
