http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/lovely-fully-restored-atwater-kent-wooden-case-type-33....

This one is on Ebay at the moment though it'd be a shame to wreck a good'un for parts.

Update: I just read the description and this one is not complete but may contain some of what you need.

Ahhhh, I forgot to read that bit. It's probably why it's standing at only $11.00 with two days to go. No postage is turning people away from bidding at the moment.

He is not interested in posting, shame, I could really use that.

If those are just the common 3:1 type and all else fails. The yanks still make 3:1 coupling transformers.

Mouser, or even others here (at x times the inflated price) may have them?

Marc, they are the 3:1 types. What I really want is the cans to hide them. Missing from my radio.
They seem plentiful in the States, but post is a bit of a killer.

I was a bit luckier, the last one I had in for repair was complete, so it was just a case of putting a new transformer into the bells. I have a pile of stuff here from deceased estate, to get rid of, but I cannot recall seeing one in the pile of transformers.

Marc,
if any of that stuff is early USA stuff (early 20's 1, 2 and 3 valve receivers) I could be interested for spares.

I have a Crosley 50, 51, 52 and ACE 5. Also Aeriola Sr, Radiola 3 and Tri-City. AK 20, 35, 40 and the 33 I am working on.

getting rid of may bakelites to pay for 'em!

The wife of the guy where this came from used to call him Mr 7/8ths. It got pulled to pieces but was never fully completed, if at all. I found a set belonging in Dandenong, Vic in amongst it. I recognised it as I turned a part for it. So I sorted out his mess, got it working & sent it back to where it should have been.

I am not aware of any US stuff in there but something may pop up, but it may be test equipment rather than a radio. I do have a US made Heathkit Grid Dip Osc. that I sorted out virtually nothing else.

Otherwise, there are only repairs Signal Corps BC-221-N Frequency Meter (with book). Not looked at nor will I plug it in, as I do not know PSU voltage (yet) & condition. Mains cable is the suicide type. So its doomed. Other is a Grigsby-Grunnow Majestic Long case clock radio.

I pretty much only collect for a collector, if its worthy and rarely. I fix rather than collect.

Marc

Hi Baz,

I've also had the problem of missing AK 'cans' for the audios. However they are quite easy to make from flat tin, and actually fun!
