Would anyone have a clear scan of the circuit for this radio that they could email me? It's the same circuit as the R316 and R701.

I have the circuit from my AORSM CD as well as the one from Kevin Chant but neither one is very clear especially when enlarged. There is also a copy on the Bakelite Radio but it's the same as the one on Kevin Chant's website.

Thanks,

Warren

Sounds like it's time for somebody with schematic drawing software to draw a clear one.

I'd wondered about redrawing it. It sounds simple enough but I once traced out and drew a factory modification that wasn't on the manufacturers circuit. It only consisted of about four components in the RF stage. I wasn't particularly impressed with the result but at least it was functional. I then noticed a small box at the bottom of the page where the manufacturer had included the circuit for the modification. Mine looked nothing like it and I could never have made it look that elegant. Although (usually) electrically correct these circuits bear little resemblance to the physical layout of the radio and I admire the craftsman that created these in the first place.

I suspect even if I had the software it would take me longer to figure out how to redraw it than it would to decipher the circuits I have!

I have the paper AORSM and will have a look to see if mine is clearer.

Edit
It is quite poor quality and a small image, but it is on its way to your inbox. Hope it helps.

It is not all that difficult to draw the circuit with the right program & a sense of direction. There are some Drawing programs floating around that are not expensive, if at all, made for the Linux platform.

I bought the one I have years ago along with an electrical symbol library. It will not run on the new computer, but will on one of the old ones.

With it I have pre-drawn artwork so I just drop in the appropriate valve type & transformers and play join the dots if it is a reverse engineer.

No need to redraw this circuit.

Here is the complete AWA Fisk Radiola 701, 702, 276 & 316 service manual:

AWA 701, 702, 276, 316 Radiola Service Manual.

Interestingly enough the Tuning Circuit Diagram, page 6, figure 5, is virtually identical for the AWA Radiola 611T, 709C, 802G & 802GY.
