Anyone know a supplier of good grille cloth in Australia?
Also valve packets.

I would like to know also. Plenty from overseas, but hard to see from a small picture online.

Ray, I recently returned to the club after an absence of 15 years. I believe you did the same?

If anyone has got the Airzone cloth I assume it's the gold/brown pattern... might even be the only cloth they used? Does it look like the real thing?

If it is the same cloth as Steve Savell used to sell then yes, it is very good stuff and can also be used on 1930s Radiolettes even though it is not exactly the same pattern.

It is a shame that there is not more types available here in Australia though there isn't a big enough demand to make it viable to make all the different types used here at the time. Spotlight and Lincraft don't sell material that is remotely like grille cloth. Some old curtain material is suitable and looks realistic but the trick is getting hold of it.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...

This may sound weird but look at some vintage clothes shops, I once picked up a dress that was make with two layers of the proper speaker cloth of that period, ans still have some left to this day, for any special radio. Just as well the dress didn't fit me
