Hi everyone does anyone have a Kriesler Breadloaf front Grill (tortoise shell or burst-orange) that would like to sell I need it to complete another radio.
I would also like another 6 inch speaker for it.
I do know the Gentleman that repairs the speakers but its not worth paying $120 to repair this speaker for this model.
Thanks George

Know the problem. I see some repairers seem to have disappeared? I got a similar quote for one in an STC Autodyne.

Big issues are the size of the modern Magnet and its flux density. I have had occasions where there was argument between speaker & mains transformer and a shield was needed.

Six inch speakers are not that common, however, if they have not been wrecked removing or weather; several early Mitsubishi Magna's (possibly others) had 6" speakers in the front doors. I did manage to score one for a Philips 123L, new old stock. Salvage is also good, some of those Boom boxes that get tossed by charities & no one wants are worth a look.

Marc
