Hi Guys,
I'm hoping someone can help me out with the spring that connects
a dial cord to the tuning gang gear. One like I just tossed a few of!
I figure any one will do.
I already have some cord from the 60's or 70's that is pretty strong.
Cheers, Brek.

I normally buy them off the shelf at an industrial supplier
Hobby shop may also have?
Watch the old cord. Some of that goes hard & circuit board cleaner helps cause it if it's Nylon. Then it doesn't flex.

Jaycar sells plastic boxes with assorted springs in them. Something like this would last you a lifetime.

Today's piece of philosophy to mull over............
Beware of those multi-pac offers. I am convinced that these are gifted with about 10 things you will use scores of and scores of things you would use stuff all of in two lifetimes.
This is why you inherit boxes & boxes full of stuff, take the hint, they never had a use for it & neither will you.
That's why you inherited it.

Lol.. The one on the top right looks like it could be it,
I'd have to go in and see.
I kept the best cord out of a fair few radios, and pretty sure it's good.
It's longer than I need, so I tried breaking some.

It's only $20.00 for 200 springs. Seems like it is worth having if a radio can be got going again.

Yes, if one spring in it is good enough, for $20, there's no matter about the rest.

I keep every spring from all equipment I dismantle at home and at work. I have two ice-cream containers full, one for compression springs, and one for tension springs.

If you can come up with something suitable for 1934 Airzone console,
and are willing to part with one, the $20 is yours.
I imagine many would be similar/suitable.
I would love to keep everything, but I'll never be able to do that with the space I have.
I already had rules before getting into vintage electronics.
It's really not a choice unfortunately.
At the same time, the dial cord and spring could be considered consumable,
so I don't think it wrecks anything using a new one.
