Hi folks, I'm seeking a replacement cartridge for a record player I am restoring. The cartridge I require is a Garrard Crystal Cartridge GC-2 flip over type.
Hope someone can help.
Cheers
S

Hi Scotty,

I ran into the same problem restoring my radiogram. I used a generic flip over crystal cartridge.

Many different sellers have them on ebay but I have been using Caroles needles.

All the ones I have purchased off her have worked 100% and her service is great.

Cheers
Vic

Hi Vic,

Thanks for your reply. Any specific cartridge you can recommend? I think the current one is 47K Ohm.

Cheers
Scott

For the record (no pun intended):

Cheers Thanks Vic. I just need to make sure they will work - 47K Ohm is the rating of the original.

Hi Scotty,

They worked very well in mine, I used the 3 volt crystal to get the most output into the amp, double the volume of the old original , and fantastic tone.

Carole has a few different brands , I used a Collaro type that she had. Personally I didn't worry about the ohm rating , I just used the highest volt output,

Cheers
Vic

Thanks Vic,
Could you let me know the actual model of the crystal cartridge your using or even a link to it on Carol's site, and I'll go check it out.
Thanks
Scott
