Hi,

I am looking for a transistor radio from the years 65-66, made in ex-Rhodesia/South Africa.

This radio is a Supersonic Conquest PR80.

If you have one, or know someone who could help me get one, please PM me.

Thanks !

G'day Transistor,

Welcome to the Vintage Radio forums.

So far, my only knowledge of the availability of this radio are from collectors in South Africa. A member here who collects rare foreign radios may know of a local example though.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...

Thanks for your answer Brad.

I don't know many radio collectors from South Africa, as I don't think there is any radio forum based there.

That's why I try to post on important radio forums, such as yours, that may have south-african members.
Would you know any of them ?

Thanks !

I don't know any of them myself unfortunately. I just did a search for the radio you are looking for and found a few links to South African websites however there's only a few and those people may well be either looking for this model too or information about them.

Yes, I have seen that too.
I already have the service manual for it. Just need the radio itself now...
I keep on searching !

Thanks.
