I am after a 30μF - 50μF 150v Dual Electrolytic Capacitor for my Admiral valve clock radio model Y3559. Missed one on Ebay, does anyone know of a source or does anyone have one for sale please. I know I can replaced this with two singles, would like to keep it original.

Is that a chassis type, or an actual 3 wire double?

I would not use second hand, and replace every electrolytic if you are refurbishing it.

You can use higher voltage types.

If none of the locals like Evatco (did not see one there) (try also "Radio Waves" HRSA) do not have them you may have to try some one like Mouser (USA).

Hi Marcc, it has a paper case with three solder pins at the base and filled with resin.
I guess it is just as easy to replace the single with two side by side. Just being pedantic.

If you want the exact values, this place in Canada has 30 & 50μF axials, 160v. Also check out their range of caps & values. I've bought from them before and have had no problems. From order to delivery took about 10 days.

That style of cap was not unusual, I have seen a higher voltage (not same value) type in some Krieslers.

Evatco have 33 & 47 μF at 450V others may have similar, or lower voltage?
